Overview

The MB Counselor Coordinator recruits, registers, and organizes merit badge counselors for the troop. They ensure scouts have access to qualified counselors for Eagle-required and popular merit badges, and that the counselor list stays current with BSA council.

Responsibilities

  • 1Maintain an up-to-date list of registered MB counselors
  • 2Recruit new counselors from troop families and community
  • 3Coordinate merit badge opportunities and clinics
  • 4Ensure all counselors have current YPT and council registration
  • 5Help connect scouts with appropriate counselors
