Builds and manages the troop's merit badge counselor network.
Overview
The MB Counselor Coordinator recruits, registers, and organizes merit badge counselors for the troop. They ensure scouts have access to qualified counselors for Eagle-required and popular merit badges, and that the counselor list stays current with BSA council.
Responsibilities
- 1Maintain an up-to-date list of registered MB counselors
- 2Recruit new counselors from troop families and community
- 3Coordinate merit badge opportunities and clinics
- 4Ensure all counselors have current YPT and council registration
- 5Help connect scouts with appropriate counselors
