Chartered Organization Representative (COR)
The formal link between the troop and its chartered organization.
Overview
The Chartered Organization Representative is appointed by the organization that charters the troop (a church, school, civic group, etc.). They serve as the official liaison between the organization and BSA, and hold significant formal authority in troop governance.
Responsibilities
- 1Represent the chartered organization's interests in the troop
- 2Approve leader registrations and recharter submissions
- 3Serve as voting member at district and council events
- 4Help the troop maintain its relationship with the chartered org
- 5Participate in committee meetings
Time Commitment
2–3 hours/month minimum
