The Knot That Holds

Any MeetingFirst Meeting of the Year

Every scout here has tied a square knot. It's simple — two ropes, a few crosses, and it holds. But here's what I want you to notice: a square knot only works because both ropes pull their own weight. If one rope goes slack, the whole thing falls apart. That's leadership. It's not one person doing everything — it's everyone pulling their share so the whole troop holds together. This week, ask yourself: am I pulling my weight, or am I the slack rope someone else is compensating for?
