What the Old Scout Said
Court of HonorYear-End / Holiday
An Eagle Scout from this troop, now in his sixties, came by a meeting a few years back and told me the friendships from his patrol were some of the most important relationships of his whole life — fifty years later. Not the badges. Not the rank. The people. Whatever else you take from this program, that's probably the part that lasts the longest. Hold onto these friendships. They're worth more than they look like right now.
