The Compass Doesn't Lie

A compass needle doesn't care what you want it to say. It points north whether that's convenient or not. Integrity works the same way — it's telling the truth even when a different answer would be easier. We talk a lot in Scouting about navigation, about finding true north on a map. But the harder skill is finding true north in yourself, and trusting it even when it's inconvenient. That's a skill you'll use long after you've put the compass away.
