Why We Pick Up Litter We Didn't Drop
Any MeetingAfter a Hard Campout
Somebody asked me today why we always pick up trash that isn't ours when we break camp. Here's why: because someone else will camp here after us, and we want them to find it better than we found it. That's the whole idea behind service — you don't do it because you made the mess. You do it because you can leave things better than you found them, and that includes more than campsites. It includes your patrol, your school, and your home.
