Last One Up the Hill
After a Hard Campout
I watched someone today be the last one up that hill. Tired, slower than everyone else, probably wanting to quit somewhere around the halfway point. But they didn't quit. They got to the top on their own legs. Nobody remembers who was first up that hill today. But I guarantee that scout will remember finishing it for the rest of their life. Being last and finishing beats being first and quitting, every single time.
