Overview

The ASPL supports the SPL and steps in when the SPL is absent. This role is often held by a scout who is developing toward SPL, making it one of the best growth positions in the troop.

Responsibilities

  • 1Support the SPL in all troop functions
  • 2Run meetings and activities when the SPL is absent
  • 3Help coordinate junior leader assignments
  • 4Assist with PLC preparation and follow-through
  • 5Mentor newer scouts and junior leaders

2–4 hours/week
